About NZEC

Management Team

NZEC is led by an experienced senior management team with a strong track record of success in oil and natural gas exploration and development. The team has individually and collectively added corporate value in a number of oil and gas ventures over the past several decades in both New Zealand and North America.

To reduce technical risk and maximize the chances of success at its properties, NZEC made the strategic decision to seek out and engage the best in-country talent, and believes it has assembled the strongest technical team in New Zealand’s oil and natural gas industry with seven geologists, geophysicists and logistics experts. This team initially operated as Ian R Brown Associates, the country’s leading oil and natural gas consulting company, which offered the full range of technical skills as well as expertise in logistics and indigenous issues.

NZEC also acquired a high-quality geologic and seismic database, and as a result has both the information and in-house expertise required to systematically target and explore the oil and gas showings on its properties.
